The Piedmont area of Italy nourishes you before you've taken a single bite. The vineyards here are UNESCO-protected, the wine cellars hold 100,000 bottles of living history, and the town of Bra gave birth to the Slow Food Movement as a deliberate act of resistance against speed. Seven days in this landscape, staying together in a private villa surrounded by forested hills and ancient stone villages, has a way of returning you to something you didn't realize you'd been missing. You'll hunt for truffles at dawn with a seasoned local expert and his scent-trained dogs. You'll visit the beekeepers and goat cheese makers who have kept these traditions alive for generations. You'll hike the Castagna Granda Trail to a chestnut tree closing in on 400 years. And you'll eat extraordinarily well, every single day, at long tables, in good company, without any reason to rush.
In Collaboration with Super Age
The Slow Food Movement was born here as a radical argument: that pleasure, taken seriously and shared generously, is not indulgence. It's a way of being alive. At Super Age, we recognize that as a longevity philosophy. Research increasingly confirms what Piedmont has always known, that savoring, sensory attention, and shared meals around a table are not luxuries. They are practices.
On every Super Age x AdventureWomen journey, a Super Age facilitator joins the group to guide a series of Awe Walks. In Piedmont, awe is woven into the landscape itself: in the hush of a forest at truffle-hunting hour, in the scale of a 400-year-old chestnut tree, in the particular stillness of a 19th-century wine cellar. The Awe Walks help you arrive fully in the places you move through, so that what nourishes you here has somewhere to land.

Awe Walks
Super Age Awe Walks are a signature practice unique to our partnership with AdventureWomen, developed by awe researcher Dacher Keltner and Super Age Founding Editor Heather Hurlock. Grounded in decades of research showing how experiences of wonder shape human health, resilience, and longevity, Awe Walks are guided experiences that invite intentional attention to vastness, beauty, and novelty in the natural world.
In Piedmont, those moments arrive without announcement. A 400-year-old chestnut tree on a hillside trail. Morning light over the Roero vineyards. The particular hush of a forest before the truffle dogs find what they're looking for. The Awe Walks help you receive those moments fully, so that the beauty of this place becomes something you carry, not just something you witnessed.
Research shows that regular experiences of awe are associated with lower chronic stress and inflammatory markers, improved emotional regulation and mood, and a greater sense of connection, meaning, and time abundance.
Our Promise
You'll return not just rested, but genuinely nourished. Piedmont has always understood something longevity science is now confirming: that how we eat, move, and gather matters as much as what we consume. The Slow Food Movement didn't start here because the food was exceptional, though it is. It started here because someone understood that eating slowly, together, with attention, is a radical act. You'll leave with new friendships, new practices, and a renewed relationship with pleasure as something worth protecting.
