What an incredible trip! Our guides were absolutely incredible, helping us immerse right away in Argentinian culture and food. We began by learning how to tango and the relationship between Gauchos and their horses. The guide helped us dive back in time through the history of the area, country and Buenos Aires. The city was more beautiful and comfortable than imagined. We then moved into the wine country of Medoza and into the heart of the Andes. Being in Anconcagua National Park and at the base of the tallest mountains in the Americas was a personal highlight. This was celebrated by one of the most fantastic ziplines and white water rafting on the glacier fed River. Uruguay is an amazing country. One of the smallest in South America and considered to be the safest and more progressive. It was beautiful to be along the Rio de Plata and to learn how such a small country could be one of the leaders in the world when it comes to feminism, education and renewable energy. This was an amazing trip that I wish I could do over again.

Thank you Katrina! We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your experience! Argentina and Uruguay are beautiful countries. The photos of the ziplining and white water rafting looked like so much fun!

Just got back from a trip with Adventure Women to the Galápagos Islands. What an unforgettable experience! The entire trip was very well organized and the communication from the Adventure Women team was frequent and useful. Juana, our naturalist/guide was awesome. She imparted an amazing amount of info on the animals, reptiles, birds, plants, geology, and history of the islands. In addition, the entire yacht crew were great. The hikes and snorkeling were awesome. Snorkeling and swimming with the sea lions was a highlight. It was great meeting the other women and the camaraderie made the trip all the better. Can’t recommend Adventure Women more highly and will definitely be going on more of their trips!

Katrina Rosen our ambassador was absolutely fabulous and our guide in Buenos Aires, Florence was also very good. The rest of the local guides I would classify as mediocre. The food on the entire trip left a LOT to be desired. Every lunch and dinner were heavy meals with the same choices over and over again. I realize beef is the big Argentinian food but normal women don't eat huge meat entrees at every meal. There should be options for lighter fare. The trip to Uruguay should be deleted and the Iguassu extension made part of the normal trip. Uruguay was definitely not worth the time to get there and also to get back to go home or to Iguassu. Plus there really wasn't anything that was interesting enough in Uruguay. Colonia was a nice little town but not enough to justify the trip. Montevideo was definitely not worth seeing. Plus a painting class is something I can do at home. I just felt there was LOTS of wasted time on this trip. The Iguassu extension was wonderful. The boat trip on the river and under the falls should be included as well as the Brazilian side of the falls. BUT the ladies on this trip were lots of fun and that made a big difference. The hotels were not great either but the employees at the hotels were great. I could go into more description and would be happy to talk to someone in more detail. Judy Laird

Hi Judy, Sorry to hear the trip didn’t fully meet your expectations, but I appreciate you sharing your suggestions, as they help us continue to improve the experience. I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed Iguazu Falls. It sounds like, despite a few bumps along the way, you were still able to create wonderful memories with some incredible fellow travelers.

Japan was spectacular, and I couldn't have asked for a better way to see it. All details were dialed in, and what a wonderful group of ladies - so dynamic, so fun, so different, so up for anything. Many of us are still keeping in touch too. I loved Becca, our AdventureWomen ambassador, from the start & our Japanese guide, Kana, was truly a delight. She shared so much historical and cultural detail with us, answered so many questions, and guided us seamlessly every day. It's a lot of work, I know, and she made it appear effortless. There is so much to learn about this world & I embrace diving into any and every authentic experience, and that's one of my favorite parts of traveling with AdventureWomen. What a joy to know there is women's travel at this level. I can't say enough good things about AW. If you travel with them, be open to everything & know you're in good hands.
